| HELIDRAIN |
 |
| |
|
|
| HELIDRAIN
is a HDPE pipe, with internal and external smooth surfaces and corrugated
profile. |
 |
| |
| APPLICATIONS |
| For infrastructure
works as road construction, building drainage, waste disposal systems, degassing
in landfills, etc. |
| |
| TECHNICAL
CHARACTERISTICS |
Their
internal wall smoothness (low friction coefficient) and chemical neutrality
prohibits the build-up of deposits inside the pipe.
HELIDRAIN
pipes are totally water-tight in their joints, because they are connected
with one socket and two rubber rings, a fact that prohibits any inflow through
the joints.
HELIDRAIN
pipes be easily installed, due to their low weight and they are perfectly
balanced to the surrounding environment. Their immediate installation, without
the use of any heavy equipment, makes the system exceptionally cost effective.
HELIDRAIN
pipes have high flexibility that allows them to follow the landscape, the
changes of direction (curves) and the exact configuration of the desired
angles.
HELIDRAIN
pipes are never blocked up by foreign materials. This advantage comes from
the fact that their perforated surface being located at the bottom part
of the corrugated profile is always secure.
HELIDRAIN
is produced in straight lengths of 6 and 12 meters each. Their packaging
can be made in wooden frames (1x1 meter). It can be cut in lengths different
than the above-mentioned ones, without the use of any special equipment.
Extensive
test results with HELIDRAIN have proved an operating life of at least 50
years, providing that the pipe is installed and used according to the manufacturer's
guidelines. |

|
| TRANSPORTATION |
|
| The transportation
and storage of the HELIDRAIN should take place under following precepts
in order to retain their technical characteristics and superior performance:
Improper
handling at high temperatures
Storage at high temperatures, combined with longitudinal or transverse
loads, may cause deformation of the length. Also, uneven heat distribution
in the circumference of the cross section may cause the pipe to twist
or bend. These conditions should be avoided during transport or storage.
Scratching
by a sharp instrument
Pipes should not be dragged, dropped or stacked on uneven surfaces such
as rocks, sharp edges, etc. If they are loaded/unloaded by means of steel
wires or chains, care should be taken for their protection against scratching.
Deformation
due to external loads
Avoid improper stacking of pipes and over-load impacts during transportation.
For
the best protection during transportation:
Straight lengths should in loose part, on the bottom layer, on a level
and clean surface for their entire length. If wooden separator beams are
used, these should form a counter-horizontal stack with a height of 1-1,5m
by 1,5-2 meter width.
If piled up pipes are of different series and diameters, the strongest
ones should be placed at the bottom.
Positioning of one pipe inside another (nesting) should be avoided except
during transportation.

|
| INSTALLATION |
|
Connection
during installation is made by the push-fit method. The rubber ring is placed
at the second lining from the edge of the pipe, where a lubricant has been
applied before.
When
lengths different from the above-mentioned ones are needed, all cuts should
be made at the center of an external lining and vertically to the pipes
axis. The new edges should be rounded. The same rules apply to the pipe's
fittings.
