Mr. Ioannis Spanudakis was
appointed CEO of A.G.
PETZETAKIS S.A
Mr.
Ioannis Spanudakis was appointed CEO
of ARISTOVOULOS G.
PETZETAKIS S.A, Hellenic Plastics & Rubber Industry, by the Board of Directors
on February 6th, 2006.
Mr. Spanudakis has been a
non-executive member of the Board of Directors of ARISTOVOULOS G. PETZETAKIS
since October 2005. Mr.
Spanudakis was the Managing
Director of the ATHENS 2004 Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and a
Board member of the Committee from March 2001 to May 2005.
Previously, Mr. Spanudakis held
senior management positions at the Dow Chemical Company, the world’s largest
plastics and chemicals producer. From 1985 to 1996, he held managerial positions
in marketing, sales and business development at Dow Europe. From 1996 to 2001,
he was appointed Global Business Director of Dow Chemical in the newly
established Polypropylene Business Unit and had responsibility for P&L, strategy
and investment for the Business Unit’s management, M&A, licensing, marketing &
sales, R&D, resource allocation, planning and budgeting.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Spanudakis
acted as an Advisor to the Ministry ïf Research and Technology, on matters
related to composite materials and industrial development.
Mr.
Spanudakis has a degree in
Chemistry from the Athens University and a PhD in Materials Science from the
University of London, UK.
