24/10/2005 - Mr. Ioannis Spanudakis was elected new non-executive member of the Board of Directors.

The company “HELLENIC INDUSTRY OF PLASTICS AND RUBBER, ARISTOVOULOS G. PETZETAKIS S.A.” announces that during the meeting of its Board of Directors dated 24.10.2005, Mr. Ioannis Spanudakis was elected new non-executive member of the Board of Directors, pursuant to the Law and article 25 of its Articles of Association, up to the expiration of the term of the current Board of Directors, replacing the resigned executive member Mr. Petros-Nikolaos Contoguris.

Ìr. Ioannis Spanudakis was born in the city of Chania, Greece in 1953. He hïlds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Athens, GR and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of London, UK. In 1983 and 1984 he was consultant to the Ministry ïf Industry on matters related to composite materials and industrial development. In 1985 he joined ‘The Dow Chemical Company’, a leader and innovator in the provision of chemical and plastic products and materials, whereas he held managerial positions for the following 12 years, and in 1996 he was appointed as the Global Business Director of the said company in the newly established polypropylene business unit. In March 2001, he was appointed Managing Director of the Organising Committee for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games.
