 29/05/2008 - The exit of the Company’s shares from the supervision category will be reviewed at a future date by the Stock Exchange’s Board

Hellenic Industry of Plastics and Rubber, Aristovolos G. Petzetakis S.A. (the Company), in accordance with article 293 of the Stock Exchange Code, announces the following:

1.      During the meeting of the Stock Exchange’s Board on 2.8.2006 a decision was made to transfer the trading of shares in the Company to the Supervision category of the Athens Stock Exchange based on article 212 of the Stock Exchange Code, namely due to the existence of significant overdue debt obligations.

2.      Following completion on 22.2.2008 of the Company’s € 121.91 mln debt refinancing and restructuring agreement, no overdue debt obligations exist.

3.      In view of the late February 2008 completion date, the economic benefits of the above refinancing and restructuring were not fully reflected in the 2008 Q1 financial statements. The benefits will be fully reflected in the following financial statements, and this is expected to allow the Company to request the exit of its shares from the Supervision category of the Athens Stock Exchange.
